President addresses FIFA Women's Football Conference
President Sahle-Work Zewde who is now in Paris, France to attend Women's Football Convention 2019 says significant investment should be made to promote women and girls participation in sport.
While addressing the first ever women's Football Convention , President Sahle-Work said:
" Women football is young but growing. It doesn't enjoy the same investment as boy's does. We should invest more on women. I am confident that what we invest on women will pay off 100 fold, because women are capable. "

President meets Organization Leaders'

On her second day in Vancouver, Canada , President Sahle-Work Zewde met with Katja Iversen , President and CEO of Women Deliver, a leading global advocate for investment in gender equality and the health and rights of girls and women with a specific focus on maternal ,sextual and reproductive health and rights.
Congratulating the CEO for the high turnout in the Conference, President Sahle-Work Zewde said Ethiopia is very keen to work with Women Deliver to promote the causes of women in Africa and globally.
Meanwhile, President Sahle-Work Zewde also conferred with former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Global Institute for Women's Leadership, Julia Gillard on the possible partnerships to help women and girls in the Universities .

President Sahle-Work Zewde arrived in Vancouver, Canada , on Sunday for Women Deliver 2019 Conference.
Upon arrival, officials of Canadian government , Ethiopian diplomats in Canada and Ethiopians residing in Canada warmly welcomed the President.
Women Deliver 2019 kicks off tomorrow at the Vancouver Convention Center.

President Sahle-Work Zewde has left Addis Abeba to Vancouver, Canada to attend 2019 Global Women Deliver Conference, which will be kiked off officially on Monday afternoon.
Dubbed as the World's largest conference on Gender Equality and the health , human rights and wellbeing of girls and women , Women Deliver will bring together over 8,000 world leaders, academics, change- makers to the Vancouver Convention Center. This year's Conference will focus on the key role of power for progress and change, how power operates at three levels: individual power, structural power and the power of movements.
President Sahle-Work Zewde is also scheduled to address the various sessions of the conference and will also hold talks with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau .
